Welcome to 2015; it’s a brand-new year and time to spring forward, renewed, reinvigorated and energized about what lies ahead.
We all have different means of motivation, particularly this time of year. In my case, I took some time off to prepare for 2015. With our children returning to their respective homes, it gave me time to myself. I took walks, reflected and prayed. It was an opportunity to center myself, so to speak, lower stress, redirect any negative energy and focus my thoughts in a positive, production direction.
There is so much that motivates me about the New Year. Our staff was recently in Maine for a management retreat. It was a tremendous opportunity to get on the same page, set goals and meet without the distraction of phones, computers and so forth. Working with these focused professionals motivates me; it’s exciting to see their ideas blossom, and participate in the innovation they bring to the process.
Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty recently expanded into Fort Worth, which has brought with it a significant amount of opportunity. Meeting fresh faces, embracing and celebrating the Cowtown culture and helping new clients is exciting to me.
The continued growth of DFW as a region, as well as the definitive global recognition of that fact, continues to provide much optimism. Plus, the overall health of the North Texas market compared to other parts of the United States gives clients and agents many reasons to smile as companies continue to expand and relocate here.
Admittedly, I’m a glass-half-full person. However, as we launch into 2015 I can’t help but be inspired by so many things happening around us in North Texas. That’s all the motivation I need.
